Wilmslow Business Group events team, which is partly funded by Wilmslow Town Council, is working with local businesses to develop the first Wilmslow Food and Drink Event between 16 and 21 March.

PRESS RELEASE

TIME TO EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY IN WILMSLOW

Wilmslow will be hosting its first ever Food & Drink Week from 16-21 March, to celebrate everything to do with eating and drinking that is on offer in the town.

Wilmslow Business Group’s Events Team is putting together a programme of food-related events and wants to encourage residents and visitors alike to discover and enjoy the range of food and drink options that are available in Wilmslow. Restaurants, pubs, bars, cafes, takeaways and sandwich shops will all be participating by making offers including discounts, two for one’s and value added deals.

A variety of food-related events will also be taking place throughout the week including cake decorating demonstrations, wine tastings, cookery demonstrations, foraging walks, cookery book signings as well as pie and beer tastings.

Georgie Johnson, Events Manager at Wilmslow Business Group, said "We want to celebrate everything foodie in Wilmslow.  Whether you want to eat in a restaurant, have a cup of coffee, or enjoy a takeaway, Wilmslow Food & Drink Week should have something for you.  We hope that this event will encourage customers to get into Wilmslow, enjoy what’s available and maybe try something and somewhere new.”

Kicking off with a specially organised banquet at Chilli Banana on Monday 16th, the week will culminate in the Artisan Market on Saturday 21st March, which will feature additional food related stalls showcasing culinary skills from learning how to fillet a fish to decorating cupcakes.

Georgie added "We hope that this celebration of all that is foodie in Wilmslow will open people's eyes to the wealth of options open to them."

The Wilmslow Food & Drink Week programme will be distributed to Wilmslow residents and will be available at participating outlets in February.
